Different parts of CoralBay operate in different ways. This page explains who you are buying from, who handles shipping, and which policies apply.

CoralBay Shop & Vendor Products

Products purchased through CoralBay checkout are treated as CoralBay commercial orders.

This includes:

  • products sold directly by CoralBay UK,

  • products sold by approved CoralBay Vendors.

For Vendor products, the Vendor may package and dispatch the order directly.

However, the purchase is still made through CoralBay checkout and CoralBay’s published Shipping, Refunds and DOA policies apply unless clearly stated otherwise.

Community Corals

Community Corals is designed to help reef hobbyists discover and advertise corals directly with other reefers.

CoralBay UK provides the listing platform and contact tools, but CoralBay UK is not the seller of Community Coral listings.

Any agreement relating to:

  • payment,

  • collection,

  • delivery,

  • livestock condition,

  • refunds,

  • replacements,

is made directly between the buyer and seller.

Marine Marketplace

Marine Marketplace is designed for saltwater and marine aquarium related listings.

This may include:

  • aquarium equipment,

  • livestock,

  • tank breakdowns,

  • aquarium accessories,

  • other reefing-related items.

Marine Marketplace listings are user-generated classified listings.

CoralBay UK may review, edit, hide or remove listings where necessary, but CoralBay UK is not the seller and is not a party to transactions between users.

Buyer & Seller Responsibility

CoralBay UK encourages honest, careful and responsible reef trading.

Buyers should:

  • ask questions,

  • review photographs carefully,

  • confirm collection or delivery arrangements,

  • satisfy themselves that they are comfortable before entering into a transaction.

Sellers should:

  • describe items accurately,

  • use representative photographs,

  • be honest about condition,

  • communicate clearly with buyers.

Important Information

CoralBay UK provides a platform through which reef hobbyists, vendors and businesses can connect.

For Community Corals and Marine Marketplace listings, CoralBay UK cannot guarantee:

  • accuracy of listings,

  • livestock condition,

  • item condition,

  • availability,

  • collection arrangements,

  • delivery arrangements,

  • outcomes of private transactions.

Users should carry out their own checks before entering into any agreement.
