Start with the product, not the shop
Imagine you're looking for a particular Goniopora, zoanthid or wrasse. You check a few familiar reef shops, open several tabs and still can't tell whether another UK retailer has exactly what you want.
That is the problem UK Reef Market is designed to solve. Instead of asking "Which shop should I check?", you can start with "What am I looking for?" and discover relevant listings from retailers you already know and others you may never have visited.
A discovery tool for UK reefers
CoralBay is not operating the retailer's checkout in UK Reef Market. The market helps you discover and compare listings; the retailer remains responsible for its product information, availability, checkout and fulfilment.
What is included?
More than just coral frags
UK Reef Market follows a growing selection of UK reef retailers. Its emphasis is marine livestock, with additional reefing products where suitable listings are available.
Corals
SPS, LPS, soft corals, zoanthids, mushrooms and specialist coral listings.
Marine fish
Search for fish by familiar or scientific names, where those terms appear in the product title.
Invertebrates and clean-up crew
Discover shrimp, snails, crabs and other marine invertebrates listed by shops.
Macroalgae and livestock
Browse other aquarium livestock and related products included in the market feed.
Equipment and reef supplies
Selected equipment and dry goods may also appear, depending on each retailer's catalogue.

Products link to the original retailers. You can also discover participating shops through the Reef Shops Directory.
Market totals change. The number of shops and products shown in UK Reef Market is updated as CoralBay Intelligence refreshes its information. For the current figures, use the live market rather than an older article.

New Today
See products newly detected by CoralBay during the current market update period.
"New" means new to the market's observations, not necessarily newly added to the retailer's website today.
Price Changes
Focus on listings whose latest recorded price differs from the earlier observation, with options for price reductions or increases.
A price change is not automatically a sale or discount.
Search and filters
Make a big market feel manageable
Start with a product name, then refine the results until they're useful.
Search product titles
Type terms such as Goniopora, torch, zoa or yellow wrasse. Search currently looks at product titles, supports partial words and can find several title words even when they are not next to each other.
Useful to know: Search is not a guarantee that every shop uses the same species, colour or coral trade name. Try a shorter or alternative name if your first search returns little.
Choose your shops
Open Select shops to focus on particular retailers. You can also use the selection controls to leave retailers out when searching more broadly.
It's useful when you want to compare familiar sellers, discover new coral farms or narrow a large set of results.
Filter by price
Set a minimum or maximum price to explore products within your budget. Try combining a price limit with a specific product search.
Displayed product prices are taken from the retailer's observed listings; shipping or other charges may be additional.
Sort and browse
Use the available sorting options and page-size controls to work through your results. You can also combine these with New Today or Price Changes to investigate a smaller part of the market.

UK Reef Market also includes a Check distance action on product results.
How to check distance
- Find an interesting product in the market.
- Select Check distance near the retailer information.
- Use your current location if you wish to grant permission, or type a UK postcode.
- Review the distance information and links to the retailer on the Reef Shops map or Reef Route Finder where offered.
What does the distance mean?
Distance can help you decide whether to investigate visiting or collecting from a retailer. It relates to the shop location available to CoralBay, not necessarily the exact location of an individual product.
Before travelling: Check whether the shop accepts visitors or collections, whether the product is still available, and whether an appointment is needed. An online-only seller may not offer collection.
Understand price movements
Price History adds context
Where enough historical information exists, select Price history on a product to see how its recorded price has changed.
What it tells you
Rather than filling the screen with days when nothing changed, the history can focus on meaningful price movements. A Price down or Price up label may appear when the latest observations indicate a movement.
This is particularly handy when deciding whether a listed price has changed recently at a particular shop.
What it does not tell you
Price History is not a guarantee of a deal and does not automatically mean two similarly named corals are identical. Frag size, colour, number of polyps, photos and condition can differ between retailers.
Always check the original product page before comparing offers or buying.

Begin with the widest view when looking for a particular product.
Search Goniopora
Enter the name in the search box and browse matching retailer titles.
Refine the results
Set a budget, choose retailers or sort the current search.
Investigate the listing
Check Price History or the shop's location where those options are available.
Visit the retailer
Open the shop's original product listing and confirm availability and delivery before ordering.
Accuracy and transparency
How current are the products?
CoralBay Intelligence checks product information from participating UK retailer websites and refreshes the market as data becomes available. We aim to show products that appear to be for sale, rather than building a permanent archive of sold-out items.
Where a retailer identifies a product as out of stock or on back order, we try to keep it out of current results. However, retailers use different websites and stock systems, and a product can sell after CoralBay last checked it.
The retailer is the final source
Always check the retailer's website for live stock, price, product specifications, delivery availability, shipping charges and policies. A listing in UK Reef Market does not reserve an item or guarantee that it can still be purchased.
About updates: Some shops may refresh more recently than others, especially when a retailer's website is temporarily unavailable or limits automated access. The market should be treated as a discovery snapshot, not a live stock connection to every shop.

UK reef keeping has an enormous range of specialist sellers, from established aquatic retailers to smaller coral farms. The best product for a buyer may be on a shop website they have never come across before. UK Reef Market gives those products another route to being found.
In the UK Reef Market discovery flow, retailers keep their websites, customer relationships and checkout. CoralBay helps connect interested reefers with the original listings. This is separate from CoralBay's other selling and checkout features, such as Community Corals and retailer products offered through the CoralBay platform.
Know a UK reef shop we should include? Not every shop is available in the market, and some websites cannot be indexed reliably. You can suggest a retailer or report incorrect product information by emailing support@coralbay.uk.

Is UK Reef Market free?
Yes. The market is free to use, and a free CoralBay account gives you access to its full interactive browsing and search features.
Can I browse without registering?
You can see a preview without signing in. Register or log in to search, filter, compare and open retailer product listings.
Do I buy directly from CoralBay?
Not through UK Reef Market. Product links take you to the retailer's own website, where that retailer handles the purchase.
Why might a product be unavailable?
It may have sold since the last update, the retailer may have changed its stock status, or the information may not yet have refreshed.
Why can't I find a particular product?
Try another name or a shorter search. Not every retailer is included, and retailer product names or website availability can vary.
Does the displayed price include postage?
Not necessarily. The original retailer's product and checkout pages determine shipping costs, collection options and the final price.
