Colorado Sunburst Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor)
One of the most electric colour morphs in the bubble tip family, the Colorado Sunburst is prized by reef keepers for its intense, almost fluorescent gradient — a deep neon-orange to red body flaring out into bright yellow-gold bubble tips. Under the right lighting, they practically glow.
Like all bubble tip anemones, this strain will readily host clownfish, making it a favourite centrepiece for reef tanks looking to recreate that classic anemone-and-clownfish partnership. It’s a hardy, forgiving species compared to many other anemones — well suited to established, stable reef systems rather than brand-new setups — and given the right conditions it will reproduce asexually over time via splitting, rewarding patient keepers with a growing colony.
