Stomatella

Being a hobbyist I went through those must have stages in the life of a marine aquarium. One being algae problem. I was buying lots of different snails, some more effective in consuming algae some less so. All of them however quite costly and rather short lived.. Then one day I noticed a little hitchhiker .. it was a stomatella snail. I liked it and I wanted more. Nothing available here in UK shops, nothing online but I managed to get some from another reefer and soon after, population grew and grew ..

I find them very beneficial, great breeders and great coral feeders as they frequently release gametes into the water. Once you have them in your tank you should never need to buy them again as the population will sustain itself.

What if you don't have them yet ?

You can wait and most likely at some point when you introduce enough live rock, corals, etc .. they might just show up but you can also get them from us.

Get your stomatella snails now ! Once they're  in, there's no going back ! 🙂
