How referrals, tickets and prizes work
1. Invite a new CoralBay member
Copy your personal referral link and share it with someone who has not registered with CoralBay before. They must sign up using your link during the competition. Each new account can be credited to only one referrer.
2. Qualify the referral
The new member must verify their email, have an account at least 3 day(s) old and actively use CoralBay while signed in on at least 2 separate calendar days. Opening multiple pages on the same day counts as one day. Visits while signed in count even if the member has not logged out and back in. Background requests do not count. Referrals may remain pending while checks are completed.
3. Earn tickets and listing bonuses
Each validated new member earns the referrer 1 draw ticket(s). If that member creates an eligible original Community Corals or Marine Marketplace listing offering Protected Purchases during the competition, that listing can earn a further 5 ticket(s). The listing must have existed for at least 3 day(s) by validation. A maximum of 1 qualifying listing(s) per new member can earn bonuses. Retailer products imported from UK Reef Market, duplicate listings and ineligible or archived listings do not qualify.
4. How winners are selected
Top Referrer: The eligible member with the highest number of validated new referrals wins the Top Referrer prize. Bonus tickets do not affect this ranking. If eligible members are tied for first, the winner is selected randomly among them.
Weighted Draw: Each eligible draw ticket has an equal chance of selection. Members with more tickets have a proportionately higher chance. The Top Referrer winner remains eligible for the weighted draw and may win both prizes. Each eligible referral and any qualifying listing bonuses contribute tickets under the rules of this competition.
5. Closing, review and announcement
Registrations for this competition close at 14 November 2026, 00:00 (site time). An additional 4 day(s) are allowed for eligibility checks. The administrator reviews flagged entries, finalises the result and announces the winners afterwards. Competition registrations are counted once and are not carried forward into future competitions.
6. Fair play
No self-referrals, duplicate or fabricated accounts, misleading listings or attempts to manipulate the draw. Suspicious registrations may be held for review; an administrator may reject entries that do not satisfy the published rules. Displayed standings and draw probabilities are provisional until validation and finalisation.
Before participating: The competition must publish its actual prize values and delivery details, eligibility (including age and residency), claim deadlines, privacy information and a way to query a disqualification. These mechanics do not replace the full promotion terms.
